Site Access for delivery: Delivery fees/charges, cover traqnsport to the customer's addresss and unloading next to delivery vehicle. The customer must check site access otherwise water tanks will be left in the nearest practical position at the driver's discretion. It is recommended that water tanks be immediately filled with water to the bottom of the lowest outlet, or otherwise restrained to prevent the water tank blowing away under high winds. Water Tank Site: Water Tank site must be flat, level and smooth. Concrete, 100mm of compacted sand or similar fill is ideal. Sand or fill must be boxed to prevent washing away. We recommend for the 700 Lt round water tank and all the slimline water tanks that they be placed on a concrete base. The Site must be at least same footprint of water tank. Water tank stands may be used, however stands must be strong enough to support water tank without deflection when full and spacing between deck members must not exceed 25mm. Water tanks are suitable for above ground installation only. To allow for expansion of water tanks when full, round water tanks should not be placed closer than 20mm from solid structure. Water tanks installed in buildings should be in a bunded area to prevent flooding in the advent of the inlet strainer becoming blocked or under heavy rain events. Water tank installation should be made by a suitably qualified tradesperson according to the regulations applicable to the local area. Water Tank Inlet: Inlet pipe diameter should not exceed the overflow pipe diameter to prevent water back flowing out of the strainer. Leave enough space between the end of the inlet pipe so that the strainer may be removed for cleaning. Water Tank Overflow: Fit the mozzie strainer to the overflow before connecting pipe work. Overflow must be directed clear of the tank base to prevent washing away of the base. Water Tank Outlets: A length of flexible hose needs to be installed to allow for movement. All pipe work needs to be fully supported, not reliant upon the water tank for support. Multiple Water Tanks: Multiple water tanks can be can be joined together using the bottom outlets. Valves can be fitted to each water tank outlet so that water tanks can be isolated, if required.
